Does Guided Prayer work offline?
Yes. Guided Prayer's content ships inside the app: all 26 scripture topics and 260 verses (in both KJV and World English Bible, English and Spanish), the guided prayer flow, journeys, favorites, notes, journal, history, and streaks all live on your device and work with no connection at all.
What works offline
- The daily guided prayer and check-in
- Browsing and reading every scripture topic
- Favorites, personal notes, and the answered-prayer journal
- Streaks, grace days, history, and widgets
- Prayer journeys, including day-by-day progress
What needs a connection
- Subscribing to Pro, restoring purchases, or leaving a tip (App Store)
- Downloading the app and updates
This is a side effect of the app's privacy design: because your prayer data is stored on-device instead of on a server, there's no server the app depends on to function. Airplane mode is arguably the app's best mode.
