Guided Prayer ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains in detail how we handle information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We have designed the App with privacy as a core principle, ensuring that your personal information remains private and secure.

This policy applies to all users of the Guided Prayer mobile application available on iOS and Android platforms. By using our App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Guided Prayer is designed with privacy as a fundamental principle. Most app data remains local to your device. Limited data may be processed by third-party platform services when needed for purchases, crash reporting, privacy-safe funnel diagnostics, notifications, support, and external links.

2.1 Personal Information

We do NOT directly collect any of the following:

• Contact information unless you choose to email support
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers (except as required by the operating system for app functionality)
• IP addresses or network information
• Biometric data or health information
• Payment information (all payments are processed by Apple/Google through their secure systems)
• User accounts or login credentials

2.2 Local Device Data

The App stores the following data on your device using SQLite or device storage:

• Favorites: Bible verses you have marked as favorites (reference, text, topic ID)
• Notes: Personal notes you create about specific verses (stored with favorite ID)
• Prayer History: Records of topics you have accessed (group ID, topic ID, group name, topic name, timestamp)
• User Preferences: Bible version preference (defaults to KJV, stored locally)
• Onboarding, Reminder, and Focus Lock Settings: selections used to personalize prayer prompts, reminders, and app blocking

This data:

• Is stored only in the local SQLite database or local storage on your device
• Is not sold to third parties
• Is not transmitted to us as account data
• Is not accessible to us or anyone else
• Is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App

2.3 Methods of Data Collection

Local data is created and stored when you actively use features within the App. Platform services may separately process data for App Store purchases, subscriptions, notification delivery, crash reports, privacy-safe funnel diagnostics, external links, and support email.

3. How We Use Information

We use local app data to personalize prayer prompts, favorites, notes, history, reminders, and Focus Lock settings. We use third-party platform services only where needed for purchases, crash reporting, privacy-safe funnel diagnostics, notifications, external legal pages, and support communication.

We do not sell personal information or use advertising profiles.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do NOT sell personal data or share local prayer content with advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms. We use limited third-party services for:

• App distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, and refunds through Apple or Google
• Production crash reporting and privacy-safe funnel diagnostics through Sentry
• Notification delivery through Expo and operating system notification services
• Support email through your email provider
• External terms, privacy, and subscription management links

Third-Party SDKs: The App uses the following third-party libraries and services:

• React Native and Expo framework (for app functionality)
• SQLite (for local database storage)
• React Navigation (for app navigation)
• Sentry (for production crash reporting and privacy-safe funnel diagnostics)
• Expo Notifications and Apple/Google services (for notifications and purchases)

These tools are used for app functionality, diagnostics, purchases, and platform services. Funnel diagnostics use small metadata such as step ID, source, plan, platform, language, selected-count bucket, and success or failure. They do not include prayer text, verse text, notes, search query text, selected app names, names, or personal devotional answers. They are not used for advertising profiles.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Storage Location

All data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. No data is stored on our servers or any cloud services.

5.2 Security Measures

Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's built-in security measures, including:

• Device encryption (if enabled on your device)
• Operating system security
• App sandboxing (iOS/Android security feature)

We do not have access to your device or the data stored on it.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

6.1 Data Retention

Local data stored on your device is retained until you:

• Delete it manually within the App (favorites, notes, history can be cleared)
• Uninstall the App (all data is automatically deleted)

6.2 Data Deletion Procedures

You have full control over your data:

• Delete Favorites: Tap the trash icon next to any favorite in the Favorites screen
• Delete Notes: Open a verse with a note, tap "Edit Note," then "Delete"
• Clear History: Go to Settings → History → Tap the trash icon to clear all history
• Delete All Data: Uninstall the App from your device

Since we do not store any data on our servers, there is no data for us to delete on our end.

7. User Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Right to Access: All your data is accessible within the App (Favorites, Notes, History screens)
• Right to Delete: You can delete any data at any time using the methods described above
• Right to Data Portability: Since data is stored locally, you can export it by accessing your device's backup system
• Right to Revoke Consent: You can stop using the App at any time and uninstall it to remove all data

8. Third-Party Services

Guided Prayer integrates with limited third-party services for app distribution, purchases, crash reporting, privacy-safe funnel diagnostics, notifications, and support. The App:

• Can browse bundled prayer content without a server account
• Requires network connectivity for purchases, subscriptions, external links, support email, and crash reports
• Does not store your prayer content in our cloud
• Does not integrate with social media platforms
• Does not use advertising networks
• Uses Sentry for crash reporting and privacy-safe funnel diagnostics, not advertising analytics

9. Children's Privacy

Our App is suitable for users of all ages, including children. We do not ask children to create accounts, profiles, or contact records inside the App.

• COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act): We do not request personal information from children under 13
• GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): Where applicable, platform services handle limited data under their own policies
• CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): We do not sell personal information

Parents can review or delete local app data from the device at any time.

10. International Users

Guided Prayer is available to users worldwide. We operate with limited data collection and use platform services for distribution, purchases, notifications, and diagnostics. We aim to comply with applicable privacy laws, including:

• GDPR (European Union)
• CCPA (California, USA)
• PIPEDA (Canada)
• Other applicable privacy laws
